A tiny dance den on Avenue A, Boysroom is a rare remaining bastion of the debauched East Village club scene. The place is a long narrow, dark room, with a bar on and a stage in the back. The bare setting of the place, with minimum furnishing, and a few TV screen displaying images of naked dudes, hard dicks and tight asses, makes for an intimate and somewhat sleazy ambiance.

One of the main assets of this lounge is the never ending rotation of go-go dancers dancing through the night on the stage, crawling on the bar, rubbing their bulging crotch in the face of the patrons, shaking their ass in the most revealing ways, undulating and gyrating around stripper poles with a relentless sexual energy.

True to the East Village spirit, Boysroom is a no-frill, no attitude, free for all venue, where the drinks are cheap, and the boys can get quite frisky if the tip is right. For a few bucks more, generous patrons can enjoy lap dance session, given by a dancer of their choice in the relative privacy of a dark corner in the back of the room.

The scene on weekends is quite a spectacle, as droves of thirsty and sexed-up East Village kids flock to the den to part take in various kinky activities. People from all ages, races and walks of life are welcomed, mixing it up with the many New York nightlife personalities that patronize the establishment.

On Mondays, Boysroom host Magic Touch, a sizzling gay urban party chock full of sweltering black and latino studs. It is one of the rare places in the city where you can find on a Monday night a bevy of male exotic dancers bumping and grinding until the wee hours.

On Fridays and Saturdays, Amanda Lepore, Cazwell and Michael Formika Jones take the place by storm and host Barely Legal and Go-Go idol. These two nights of no holds barred debauchery feature all the cheap and fun gay entertainment one can swallow: dick shows, go-go dancer contest, cash prizes, drag performance, drink specials, and an eclectic mix of '80s, rock, pop and electro.
