The Hangar
115 Christopher Street
New York, NY 10014
This popular West Village bar seduces with its old fashion look, complete with rustic wooden furnishing and a pool table. It draws a very mixed crowd, and is a popular destination among gay men of color who hang-out in the Village. Always busy, the place gets packed on Sundays, as the guys flocking to the Piers like to stop by at the Hangar and sip one of their $4 Frozen Margaritas before heading out to catch some sun by the Hudson River. It is a good way to get a nice kick before carrying-on on the piers and enjoy the buzz, the cute, bare chest guys and the New York skyline on a beautiful sunny afternoon.
After sunset, the guys walking back up Christopher Street would typically make another stop at the Hangar to chill out for the rest of the evening. It is the perfect time to quench your thirst after a whole day of outdoor fun with more cheap Margaritas, play a pool game with some fellows and slip your last singles inside the thong of the chiseled exotic dancers shaking their money-makers on the go-go box.
