Celebrate Bin Laden’s death at Escuelita

The promotion team at the long running latin gay club Escuelita was quick to react to the news of the demise of Osama Bin Laden and promptly spun it into an admittedly quite disconcerting party invitation sent to all the subscribers of the Escuelita text line. At 12:26 AM, we received the following text message, accompanied by a colorful flyer showing Osama Bin Laden’s face painted in shimmering colors:

We know things have been a bit slow lately at Escuelita on Sundays, especially since Harmonica quit with fanfare over a year ago, taking her illustrious Tea Dance to Splash – but we can’t being slightly taken aback by this uncanny demonstration of promotion zeal.

It’s quite baffling that on a late Sunday night, Escuelita managed to put its resident graphic artist to work and make him dish out a customized party ad inspired by a breaking news that was just announced late that same night.

As for the appropriateness of the message – we’ll let you be the judge…
