The new management of the only hotel of the Pines in Fire Island promised that the 2010 season will see the level of service greatly improved at Ciel. While it’s true that in past seasons, the rooms tended to exhibit a spartan level of comfort, it was always good enoug for us, since little time was spent in the room itself over the course of our stays. In addition, the location is absolutely unbeatable, and we even felt slightly priviledged to be able to sip on our planter’s bunch from a balcony overlooking the Low Tea festivities.
