XES is a fun, unpretentious gay bar, with an outdoor patio perfect to chill out during the summer. The atmosphere is very casual and laid-back, and it is probably one of the most drama free and attitude free gay hangout in Chelsea.
It seems like the exposing your butt to win the grand prize is all the rage in New York these days, as XES lounge is now competing with the long running night at the Urge to throw the best ass contest in town. Entitled “Ass Circus”, this weekly booty contest takes place every Wednesday at 11pm, mixing all the right ingredients for a naughty and fun filled night: a larger than life drag persona belting obscene rants, free flowing booze to lube up the social interactions, and a bunch of sexy studs ready to bare it all for a chance to win a few bucks.
A slew of performers keep the crowd entertained through the week, ranging from local up and coming talents showcasing their tunes, to NYC’s best drag queens throwing shade or hosting the karaoke night on Sundays.
