Meanwhile, the rumor mill has begun spreading the news that Manchester’s famous nightclub Sankey’s is set to open an outpost in New York, towards the beginning of 2011. It sounds like a little bit of a longshot, but this would be a fantastic addition to New York’s club scene, as Sankey’s is famous in the U.K. for being a true underground clubbing institution, bringing in top notch house, tech and trance DJ’s. Let’s hope this will actually materialize and fare better than the newly launched and already forgotten club Amnesia.

And as we’re looking ahead, let’s not forget about the much anticipated opening of the first “straight-friendly” urban resort coming in the spring of 2011 to 42nd street, with non other than John Blair at the helm.
